The Toyota Corolla was completely redesigned in 2020 and for 2021 it returns with improvements to the traditional version as well as an all-new hybrid version. The new generation of the hugely popular sedan offers even more to future owners while maintaining its impressive reputation for reliability, performance, driving pleasure, safety and fuel economy.

Available in several versions, the 2021 Toyota Corolla meets all needs. With a base price of $19,150 for the standard Corolla and $24,990 for the Corolla Hybrid, the compact sedan has it all.

In terms of engines, two 4-cylinder engines are offered in the 2021 Toyota Corolla, a 1.8-litre four-cylinder making 139 horsepower and a 2.0-litre developing 169 horsepower. 

On the Corolla Hybrid side, the sedan features a 1.8-litre engine designed specifically for a hybrid application, coupled with two electric motors that propel the car. Each engine offers its advantages and each stands out in terms of efficiency and performance. We are talking about engines that combine performance and efficiency like no other engine can do in this segment.

Indeed, although the 2021 gasoline Toyota Corolla offers very good fuel economy with fuel consumption ratings ranging from 7.7 L to 8.2 L/100 km in the city and 6.0 to 6.5 L/100 km on the road, the Corolla Hybrid offers a combined rating of fewer than 5.0 L/100 km. The Toyota Corolla Hybrid is one of the few cars in its segment to offer a hybrid powertrain. It is also a hybrid car that is very affordable with a price tag of less than $25,000.

The 2021 Toyota Corolla offers the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite as standard. This second generation of the active safety technology system enhances driver skills and preserves safety through advanced technologies that prevent accidents.

Like the exterior, the interior has also been redesigned for a more dynamic appearance. For 2021, the majority of models are equipped with an 8-inch screen and offer a host of other technology features, both standard and optional, such as Apple CarPlay, a Qi wireless charger for smartphones, the Safety Connect System, and Scout GPS Link compatibility.
